Sleep window planner
Choose when you need to wake and how much sleep opportunity you want to protect. The planner works backward and includes a separate wind-down cue.
Your planning window
- Begin winding down
- 10:15 PM
- Aim for lights out
- 11:00 PM
- Wake time
- 7:00 AM
This protects an 8-hour sleep opportunity.
How to use the result
A sleep opportunity is time reserved for sleep, not a promise that every minute will be asleep. Start with a realistic duration, keep wake time reasonably consistent, and watch how you feel across several nights. The wind-down cue is simply a boundary for dimmer light and lower stimulation.
What this planner does not know
It does not know your age, health history, shift-work schedule, medication, or individual sleep need. It also avoids the popular but oversimplified idea that everyone must wake at the end of a fixed 90-minute cycle. Seek professional advice when sleep difficulty is persistent, severe, or affects safety.
